From this point, you can customize the shipping zone in two different ways, find below how you can do it.

How can you customize a shipping zone?

You have two main options, you can either customize a shipping zone to be free or you can add a price to it and customize the shipping fees based on price or weight.

Paid shipping

1- Shipping zone based on price: this option means that the shipping fees will be calculated based on the final price of the purchase.

For example, if the shipping fee is 50DH and you want to make the shipping fee 20DH if the customer has 600dh as a final price. Here is how you can do it:

  1. In the Type field, choose Price.

  2. Click on Add Rate.

You have three ways you can customize the shipping fees:

  • Shipping fees will be the same no matter how the total price of the order is: You need to add the shipping price in Price, activate this shipping, and then click on Save.

  • Shipping fees will be calculated with minimum: for example, you want the shipping price to be 20dh  if the customer purchases less than 299dh: in this case, you will :

- Put 0 in the Min section (it is mandatory to add 0 in this section)

- Put 299 in the Max sect

- Add 20 as the shipping price

- Make sure that the No maximum box is unchecked

  • Shipping fees will be calculated with maximum: for example, you want the shipping price to be 0dh if the customer purchases more than 300dh: in this case, you will:

- Put 300 in the Min section.

- Put 0 as a shipping price.

- Make sure that the No maximum box is checked.

2- Shipping zone based on weight

Mandatory step: If you want to customize the shipping fees based on weight, you need to add weight details to the products. Follow these steps :

  1. Go to All Products and click on Edit Product.

  2. Scroll down till you see Variants.

  3. Enable Variants and customize it.

  4. Watch this video to learn how you can customize variants.

  5. Click on save.

After making sure that the weight variants are added, you need to customize the shipping zones based on weight, follow these steps.

  1. Create a shipping zone following the steps we mentioned above.

  2. In the Type field, choose Weight.

  3. Click on Add Rate.

The same choices you have in the Price type apply to the Weight type: you can customize it in three different ways, and follow the same steps for each choice you make.
